Citat:Pakistan is yet to receive its first three AH-1Z Vipers. These attack helicopters are assembled but currently embargoed and put into storage, probably at NAS Patuxent River (MD). The Naval Air Systems Command presolicitation notice is for:
"The continuation of the preservation, storage and de-preservation effort of three (3) AH-1Z helicopters. This effort is necessary to maintain the aircraft in a preservation state such that they will be able to return to flight following de-preservation."

Pakistan hopes to receive twelve AH-1Zs through the US Foreign Military Sale programme, approved by the US State Department in 2015. They ordered three and nine aircraft in August 2015 and April 2016, respectively. In June 2017 it was reported by Bell Helicopter that the Asian country would receive its first three AH-1Z by the end of 2017. The remaining nine will be delivered in 2018.

The new 120 day storage period follows on the previous stint slated to last until October 2018.

A month later, the Kingdom of Jordan announced that it had donated the Cobras to Kenya in a deal in which the US-manufacturer, the Bell Helicopter Company, reported that it would provide training and maintenance for the Cobras.
