Citat:Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) commissioned its 10th Mogami-class multi-mission stealth frigate, JS Nagara (FFM-10), on June 29.
The handover ceremony and Self-Defense Force ensign presentation ceremony for the vessel was conducted at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries' (MHI) Nagasaki Shipyard. JS Nagara will be deployed to Kure Naval Base as part of the JMSDF's 2nd Patrol Squadron.
Nagara was laid down at MHI's Nagasaki Shipyard on July 6, 2023. The vessel was christened and launched on December 19, 2024.
