^^^ Nista...
Citat:A recent meeting of French, German and Spanish defense ministers failed to revive the troubled €100-billion FCAS fighter jet programme.
The plan to jointly develop a next-generation fighter to replace Rafale and Eurofighter jets by 2040 is now considered “very unlikely.”

Citat:Germany’s Merz recently said that his country has different needs in that matter than France, which needs the jet to be able to carry its nukes and land on an aircraft carrier. Germany’s air force, on the other hand, would like the fighter to focus more on range.

Makron kaze da ima jos sanse
Macron Says Still Sees France, Germany Developing European Fighter Jet
Citat:French President Emmanuel Macron denied Friday that a troubled fighter jet program with Germany was dead, telling reporters Paris and Berlin were still working on that and other defense projects.
The multi-billion-euro project has faltered as disagreements persist between the firms involved — France’s Dassault Aviation and Airbus, which represents Germany and Spain.
Speaking ahead of a EU summit in Cyprus, Macron said that after morning talks with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, the pair had instructed their respective defense ministries to carry on work on a range of issues, including the fighter jet.
“No, not at all,” Macron replied, asked by a journalist whether the European Future Combat Air System (FCAS) warplane program was dead in the water.
“We had a good discussion this morning with the Chancellor and we have instructed our defense ministries to work on a number of areas, covering various topics –- not just the fighter jet,” Macron said.
“We are continuing to move forward. Europe has never needed unity, greater independence and greater sovereignty more than it does now,” he added.
