S. Korea to deploy around 20 more F-35A fighters by 2028
Citat: South Korea's defense authorities approved a 3.94 trillion-won (US$2.97 billion) plan Friday to deploy some 20 additional F-35A radar-evading fighters by 2028 as part of efforts to counter North Korea's nuclear and missile threats, according to the state arms procurement agency.
The Defense Project Promotion Committee endorsed the nation's second project to procure the stealth fighter manufactured by the U.S. defense giant Lockheed Martin. Under the first such project, South Korea has deployed 40 F-35As.

Ceska pregovara o 24
Citat:Using the backdrop of the war in Ukraine, and the surrounding tensions in Eastern Europe, as reasoning for its decision, the Czech government confirmed today that it would begin negotiations with the United States, with a view to buying 24 F-35s — enough for two squadrons. That in itself is a significant move, with the Czech Air Force currently only operating a single squadron of JAS 39C/D Gripens — 12 single-seaters and a pair of two-seaters.

Citat:The U.S. Air Force 354th Air Expeditionary Wing and Marine Aircraft Group 12 perform a capabilities demonstration during a pre-planned readiness exercise at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan, July 7, 2022. The demonstration included five U.S. Marine Corps F/A-18 Hornets, eight F-35B Lightning IIs, a KC-130J Super Hercules, 10 U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptors and 10 F-35A Lightning II’s, showcasing a high level of readiness and joint service capability in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific. MCAS Iwakuni is uniquely qualified to enable the Joint Force, be it through providing use of the station's collocated harbor and airfield, serving as a staging point for non-organic aircraft operations, or any number of other operational activities.
