The first of twelve Block 50 F-16s for Oman's second buy, formally called the Peace A'sama A'safiya II program, was flown for the first time on 14 January 2014. The flight set a record, coming only twenty-four months after contract award—the shortest foreign military sales production program in the history of the F-16 program. The aircraft landed Code 1 and returned to the air the same day for its second flight, which also returned Code 1.
