Citat:The renovation of the Lim-5 (MiG-17) fighter aircraft imported to Poland last year, built in 1958, with construction number 1C1211 and wearing the colors of the North Vietnamese Air Force, has begun.
During renovation, the aircraft will receive original Polish Air Force markings, and when completed, it will be the only airworthy MiG-17 in Europe.
The Fundacja Eskadra / Squadron Foundation team expects that 1211 will present its debut show during the 2025 show season.
MiG-17s produced in Poland were known as Lim-5, which in short means "aircraft built under license no. 5".
