Ameri uzimaju saudijska krila za svoje F-15E ,tako smanjuju troskove
USAF F-15Es are getting recycled wings from Saudi F-15S
Citat:The Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) is converting 66 of its F-15S fighters to the SA standard. The new model will require new wings that have outer wing hardpoints activated.

The old wings were scheduled to be destroyed but the U.S. Air Force stepped in to buy those wings.The F-15Es require new wings to keep them flying till 2040 and Boeing can only deliver those wings in five-years time. They are five times more expensive.

The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s F-15 Program Office and F-15SA Conversion, Fighters and Advanced Aircraft Program Office has so far purchase eight sets of wings and might buy up to 42 more sets.

Citat:The Asahi Shimbun says Japan’s plan to modify 20 F-15s to carry long-range cruise missiles is in jeopardy as only $103 million has been set aside to upgrade two fighters.
The project is supposed to be completed by fiscal 2027 yet money was not alloacted in the discal 2020 budget nor did the Ministry of Defense seek money for the project in the fiscal 2021 budget.
