Americki F-15E dobijaju nove radare
Boeing to Install High-Tech Radar on USAF F-15E Fighters
Citat:American aerospace firm Boeing is modifying dozens of F-15E fighter jets by integrating a cutting-edge radar and electronic warfare system.
Called the Eagle Passive Active Warning and Survivability System (EPAWSS), the tech will provide F-15 pilots with advanced capabilities to detect and counter ground and airborne threats.
The EPAWSS will also reportedly help improve the aircraft’s battlefield situational awareness.

F-15E to get Digital GPS Anti-jam Receiver
Citat:The U.S. Air Force has tasked BAE Systems with the installation of the Digital GPS Anti-jam Receiver (DIGAR) on the F-15E.
The $13 million contract is the second for BAE Systems, which had earlier secured the modifications for U.S. Air Force F-16s.

Citat:The US scrambled an F-15 jet to shoot down an Iranian drone that appeared to be heading towards US forces in Erbil, Iraq, on Wednesday, a US official told CNN.

US forces launched the jet after tracking dozens of Iranian short range ballistic missiles headed for Kurdish positions in northern Iraq Wednesday, according to two other US officials. The initial assessment is the launches originated inside Iran, the officials said.

“This was a significant incident,” one of the officials said.

“At approximately 2:10 PM local time, U.S. forces brought down an Iranian Mojer-6 Unmanned Aerial Vehicle headed in the direction of Erbil as it appeared as a threat to USCENTCOM forces in the area,” US Central Command, which oversees the US military presence in the Middle East, said in a statement.
