Citat:The U.S. Air Force has resumed full production deliveries of F-15EX Eagle II fighter jets following the end of a 105-day strike at Boeing’s St. Louis facility, with the latest aircraft delivered to Portland Air National Guard Base in early December demonstrating a rapid recovery of the production line.
The strike, which began Aug. 4 and ended Nov. 17, involved approximately 3,200 Boeing workers and caused significant disruptions to the F-15EX program, which is central to the Air Force’s plans to modernize its aging fighter fleet. The work stoppage marked the first time the Air Force publicly acknowledged production delays affecting a major aircraft program due to labor action.

Hanwha Systems signs contract with Boeing to supply cockpit displays for F-15K, F-15EX
Citat:Hanwha Systems Co., a defense solutions unit of South Korea's Hanwha Group, said Thursday it has signed a contract with Boeing Co. to supply advanced cockpit displays for F-15K and F-15EX fighter jets.
Under the agreement, Hanwha Systems will provide the Eagle Large Area Display (ELAD) for Boeing's fighter aircraft as part of the U.S. aerospace giant's project to upgrade cockpit displays for its global F-15 fighter fleet, including South Korea's F-15K jets and the U.S. Air Force's F-15EX, according to the company.

The Air Force attempt to slash the fleet to 99 was a strategic error Congress rightfully shut down. The fix is on the production line. With Boeing aiming for 36 F15EX jets a year, just four extra production lots would restore the Guard (144 inventory) and recapitalize the Strike Eagle force (119 aircraft).
The FY'27 budget has to focus on buying iron, not just retiring it. The target must be 90+ new tails per year through the 2030s to reverse the decline.
