Citat:Netherlands' Ministry of Defence has deployed two CH-47 Chinook heavy-lift transport helicopters to support the firefighting efforts in the De Rosmolen nature reserve.
The helicopters, operated by the Royal Netherlands Air and Space Force (RNLASF), carry a bambi bucket as an external sling load. The bucket can hold about 7,600 liters of extinguishing water.
During the operation, the helicopters dumped nearly 300,000 liters of water onto the fire in 38 drops after drawing water from Meuse River.
According to a Ministry of Defence statement, this is the fourth time this year that helicopters from the Defence Helicopter Command have been involved in firefighting operations.

Coulson Aviation Canada je otkupio 10 CC-130H Hercules od RV Kanade
Citat:Coulson Aviation Canada has acquired 10 former Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) CC-130H Hercules aircraft from the Government of Canada.

The company will convert, maintain and operate the aircraft to support aerial firefighting efforts. The acquisition doubled Coulson's global C-130H fleet from 10 to 20.
The sale is being coordinated through GCMil, a group within Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) that sells surplus military assets on behalf of National Defence.
According to a statement from the PSPC, the 10 aircraft are part of a fleet of 12 CC-130Hs retired by the RCAF in January 2026. The remaining two retired CC-130H Hercules aircraft will be publicly displayed at bases and museums across the country.
The statement said that the sale remains conditional, pending the completion of contractual arrangements and applicable Transport Canada regulatory approvals, adding that the selling price of the aircraft and bid information are confidential.
