The bidders for India’s new fighter jet have become known
Citat:The bidders for India’s new fighter jet are all world leaders in the industry, said Anton Chernov, regional director of the MiG corporation (part of the UAC, which is part of Rostec), learned BulgarianMilitary.com.
According to him, SAAB with the Gripen E, Lockheed Martin with F-16 (F-21 for the Indian market) are participating in the tender.
“The Americans are very decisive, declare that they are ready to completely transfer the production line. There are twin-engine aircraft,” explained Chernov.
Boeing with the FA-18, Dassault with the Rafal, and Eurofighter Typhoon are also announced in the tender.
“We do not stand still. We have good chances to participate in the Indian tender for the purchase of fighters. Of course, we are participating in it, we responded to a request for information that was published by the Indian side. The competition is very tight,” said Chernov, RIA Novosti reports.
MiG has a “good backlog” and reputation, the CEO said. According to him, India has very serious requirements for the localization of production in the country.

Omerikens valda odbili da im daju proizvodnju motora (licencu). Kako je sa ostalima - nebih znao. Valda otpada i Gripen radi motora (omerikens licenca).

India Abandons MMRCA Fighter Tender, Will Buy More Tejas LCAs Instead
Citat:India plans to switch to locally-made fighter jets, two years after asking global companies to submit proposals to supply 114 combat aircraft in the world's biggest warplane [competition].
The country's air force is finalizing plans to induct indigenously made Light Combat Aircraft, Tejas to boost the capability of its aging combat aircraft fleet, Chief of Defence Staff Bipin Rawat said in an interview in New Delhi. It will buy an additional 83 jets, apart from an earlier deal for 40 aircraft, for $6 billion, he said.
"The Indian Air Force is switching that to the LCA," Rawat said, when asked about the global tender for jets. "The IAF is saying, I would rather take the indigenous fighter, it is good."
The decision is a setback for the likes of Boeing Co, Lockheed Martin Corp and Saab AB who were in the race for the $15 billion order, and another sign that India is abandoning costly foreign defense purchases which have been plagued by bureaucratic delays and a funding crunch.

Jeste kiselo grozdje, ali je i istina da su za 1 Rafal mogli da kupe 3 Su-30MKI. A za njih vec imaju sve - naoruzanje, ljude, obuku, delove...
