Testira se novi softver 9.2 i SM-3 IIA

James Syring – will not only be the first for the new Raytheon SM-3 Block IIA BMD interceptor but also the next for the Baseline 9.2 software build of Aegis IAMD capability, Paul Klammer, director, Aegis BMD at Lockheed Martin told USNI News.

The Baseline 9.2C software will allow the Aegis destroyer to provide the SM-3 IIA targeting information from a sensor beyond the range of the ship’s SPY-1 to “engage-on-remote.”

“Engage-on-remote gives us the capability to shoot down a threat solely based on data from an external provider,” Klammer said.

Citat:The government has been making final arrangements to deploy ground-based Aegis Ashore units, which are scheduled to be introduced to reinforce the nation’s missile defense system, in Akita and Yamaguchi prefectures, according to government sources.

The units will be deployed at facilities of the Ground Self-Defense Force near the Sea of Japan and will be operated mainly by the GSDF, the sources said.

The Aegis Ashore is a ground-based facility that has a function equivalent to that of an Aegis-equipped destroyer. The government aims to start operation around fiscal 2023.

Verovatno ovakav razvoj neminovan u svekolikoj tehnici mada sada izglda vrlo sumorno. Interkontinentalne rakete dostižu između 1600 i 1800 km visine i negde oko ajmo otprilike 85% putanje su iznad 200 km visine a onaj ostatak je ajmo reći pola pola mada ne mora da bude baš precizno.
Ali dobro kada kvantitet dođe polako, mada je to možda i najskuplja rabota do sada ...
Što je najgore protivdejstva je lakše i daleko jeftinije izvesti. Al drugog puta očito nema.
