Reorganization includes the creation of a Maritime Unmanned Forces Command, creation of a "Naval Kill Chain" and making the Republic of Korea Marine Corps a fourth branch of the military.

The Cheongeom is equipped with artificial intelligence and can identify and target fixed objects without operator intervention in emergency situations. The performance of the missile is said to be comparable with the American AGM-114 Hellfire.
According to the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA), a state arms procurement agency in South Korea, the Cheongeom’s deep learning algorithm was trained on more than 800,000 frames of target images. Deep learning is a type of machine learning that involves training artificial neural networks on large amounts of data.
TAipers (Tank Snipers) is the english name for the Cheongeom missile system. Cheongeom means heavenly sword in Korean.

S. Korea endorses key projects to upgrade F-15K fighters, buy refueling tankers
Citat:South Korea approved major projects Wednesday to upgrade combat capabilities of its F-15K fighters and import aerial refueling tankers, the state arms procurement agency said, in a move to counter evolving North Korean threats.

The Defense Project Promotion Committee passed a 3.46 trillion won (US$2.73 billion) project to strengthen the mission capabilities and survivability of the F-15K jets from 2024-2034, according to the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA).

The project includes replacing the current F-15Ks' old radar system with the advanced Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar and installing integrated electronic warfare equipment and an up-to-date mission computer.

The committee also gave the green light to a 1.2 trillion won project to purchase foreign-made refueling tankers from 2024-2029.

Investigation reveals 12-year-old maintenance issue caused KF-16 crash
Citat:An investigation into the crash of a Republic of Korea Air Force (ROKAF) KF-16 fighter on Nov. 20 revealed that the cause of the accident was a missing nut on the fuel pump drive shaft, which was responsible for fixing the drive shaft in place.
The missing nut caused the drive shaft to vibrate and the gearwheel to wear abnormally, cutting fuel to the engine. Despite the pilot’s attempts to restart the aircraft in mid-air, the engine stopped due to a lack of fuel and the fighter crashed.
According to the Air Force, the nut had not been attached to the drive shaft during its maintenance in 2010, 12 years prior to the accident. The engine gearbox is supposed to be inspected after 4,000 hours of operation, but the gearbox in the accident aircraft had only been operated for around 900 hours after maintenance in 2010 and had not undergone any further maintenance since then. As a result, the military was unaware of this issue for over a decade.
