Egipcani su potpisali za ToT i pravice preko 70% komponenti

Citat:Egypt to launch the main production phase of the K9A1EGY 155mm artillery system at the Egyptian military factory 200 in the coming period.
In 2022, Egypt signed a $1.7 billion contract with the South Korean Hanwha Group for the procurement and transfer of technology (ToT) of the 155mm K9A1 Thunder self-propelled Howitzer.
Egypt will be produce locally about 70% of the artillery system components within five years.
Under the K9 A1EGY deal, Egypt will be able to produce locally sensitive electronic components for the first time, as the fire-control system (FCS) installed on the artillery system.
The Arab International Optronics Company will be responsible for manufacturing those components.
Egypt will also be the first operator of the naval verison of the K9A1 self-propelled Howitzer that will be used by the Egyptian Navy for costal defense.
Moreover, Egypt will get a special C2 verison of the fire direction command vehicle of the K9A1 artillery system dubbed K11.

The AS9 is the Australian variant of the South Korean K9 self-propelled howitzer, while the AS10 serves as its Armoured Ammunition Resupply Vehicle (AARV).
