The French Navy's air arm, the Aeronavale, has decided to postpone retirement for its Dassault Super Etendard Modernise (SEM) aircraft until mid- to late-2016, complicating the Argentine Navy's efforts to upgrade 10 of its fleet of 11 Super Etendard aircraft to the SEM standard.
The Argentine Navy still wants 10 SEM kits for its Super Etendards, but has to date received no indication from France as to how or when this order might be filled.
Moreover, military relations between the two states have cooled due to a deal last year between France and the UK that could create roadblocks to France's selling the kits, and an updated version of the Exocet missile, to Argentina, a rival of the UK.

Pogledah na FB gore pomenuti snimak poznatog dogadjaja iznad Bosne pa da okacim i ovde jedan manje poznat koji sam iskopao davnih dana,zilav avion 
Le 17 décembre 1994, le lieutenant de vaisseau Demeneix la flottille 16F conduit avec son Etendard IVP une mission de reconnaissance sa 15ème mission au dessus de la Bosnie-Herzégovine. Alors qu'il reconnaît un objectif dans la région de Donji-Vakuf, il ressent un choc violent, son appareil vient d'être atteint par un missile sol-air à guidage infra-rouge. Appliquant avec un remarquable sang-froid une procédure complexe et réfléchie, il parvient à regagner les lignes amies, et pose son aéronef sans volets sur le terrain italien de Gioia del Colle.
