He added that the only way the F-16 could be selected for the MFR is to have a “financing scheme” provided by the U.S. government.

The pilot had reported an issue with the landing gear during the first start-up. After troubleshooting by the ground crew, the jet was started up again. However, due to human errors, the landing gear retracted as the jet was starting up.
A spare aircraft was scrambled to take its place.

Amerikanci su Turcima ponudili isporuku F-16 kao kompenzaciju za ulozenih 1,4 milijardi USD u program F-35.
Otuda i poslednji razvoj dogadjaja oko nove turske porudzbine F-16 - varijanta "daj sta das", da ne propadnu pare:

Sada je situacija oko F-35 kristalno cista: Turci ih nikada nece ni kupiti, obzirom da ce u narednih par godina poleteti domaci avion V generacije. Ovo dalje moze dovesti do udaljavanja Turske od Amerike, i priblizavanje Rusiji, kojoj izmice indijsko i kinesko avio-trziste.
