Kratak opis verzije i oznaka MiG-21;

Nadalje odgovor iz Finske [ 21F-13 21F-12 ]
Citat:I think Jerzy really has got a point when asking about MiG-21F-12. According to the very detailled history of the Kubinka special regiment (234 Guards IAP), which generally was the first Soviet AF regiment to receive new equipment, and also repeatedly made friendship visits abroad and reciprocially hosted foreign visits (the first visitors being Finland, France and Sweden).
Thus the well-known Russian aviation historian Sergei Isayev writes in his history of 234 GIAP "Stranitsy istorii pilotazhnogo polka 1950-1992" (Pages from the history of the aerobatic regiment), Moscow 2013 (567 pages with hundreds of illustrations) that an EXPORT version of MiG-21F-13 was delivered to Finland in 1962, and that the designation of this export version was MiG-21F-12!
I have discussed this with Jyrki Laukkanen (and with several other Finnish MiG-veterans as well) who all point out that all documentation and handbooks of the Finnish MiGs mention ONLY MiG-21 F-13. However, after reading Isayev´s book I get the impression that some (avionic and/or weapon control?) equipment was stripped from the F-13 fighters before delivery to Finland, and that this "stripped down" export version got the (temporary and/or "unofficial"?) designation F-12.
It could further well be that the "degradation" of the export version was kept secret (or at least not "advertised"), why F-13 handbooks were delivered with the fighters.
Jerzy, to sum up, it would be interesting to know why you did put this question? Have you got reason to suspect that Finland did NOT get the original F-13?
Rusi tvrde da je posebna izvozna verzija 21F-12
