Peru to Upgrade Second MiG-29 Batch
Citat: Russian aircraft manufacturer, RAC MiG, expects to sign a contract with the Peruvian Air Force for the repair and modernization of a second batch of MiG-29 Fulcrum fighter jets this year, said the company's Director General, Sergei Korotkov.
A second contract for the modernization of the remaining 11 in the fleet was expected to be signed last year, but has yet to happen. Korotkov is optimistic that an agreement will be signed before the end of 2014.
The upgrade will expand the aircraft's operational life by 20 years.
