Пратим све везано за развој мотора Пд-35, јер од њега зависи и развој тешког транспортног авиона. Вероватно ће и авион и мотор бити спремни око 2028 године. За мотор тек крећу да се праве стендови, 8 различитих за испитивање. Око 2022/3 први тестни примерак. Сада сву авионску индустрију обједињују у Ростех. Боља контрола, мањи трошкови. Видећемо да ли ће то помоћи код стварања "Слона".

Citat:According ATO.ru business aviation portal from the Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute (TsAGI) are working on improving the aerodynamic layout of the new heavy Russian transport aircraft Slon. The project is aimed at researching the technologies of a promising transport aircraft to replace the heavy long-range freighter An-124 Ruslan. This aircraft will be designed to transport heavy and bulky cargo over a distance of about 7,000 km at a speed of 850 km/h. The required runway length is 3 km. The maximum payload is 180 tons (for comparison: the An-124 has 120 tons). The "Elephant" is being designed for Russian advanced bypass turbojet engines PD-35.


Previously, this project went through two cycles of research aimed at studying the aerodynamics of an aircraft at different flight speeds, with visualization of the flow around the model to identify areas of possible optimization.

Based on the test results, the scientists of the institute modified the layout of the "Elephant". The new elements in it were the fuselage of an increased section for the purpose of transporting bulky cargo, a reduced fairing of the junction of the wing with the fuselage, pylons with improved profiles with engine nacelles corresponding to the PD-35 engine, and several options for wingtips.

Until the end of this year, the aircraft model with new elements is being studied in the T-106 variable density wind tunnel. Scientists will study its main characteristics in cruising modes, as well as confirm the calculated effectiveness of modifications.

"The Elephant aircraft is optimized primarily for civilian use. Thanks to the enlarged fuselage, we will be able to offer customers the transportation of large volumes of cargo to the estimated flight range, and the wing with modified wingtips will provide high aerodynamic quality," said a researcher at the TsAGI Center for Integrated Technology Integration. Neka ideja Iljusina samo sto bi ovo bio jos manji avion, velicine C-17.

Главный конструктор по перспективным проектам - Мартынов Игорь Анатольевич, и другие сделали вот такой вот проект.
Но пока что летает он не в облаках а в памяти компьютера в виде 3Д модели.
Машина как понятно планируется для замены Ан-124 «Руслан».
Но на «Руслан» самолет не похож, неужели в РФ сделали сами оригинальный тяжелый самолет? Нет, не сделали, это раскормленный клон Boeing C-17 Globemaster III с несколько недоразвитым Т-образным оперением. Это обнадеживает, летать она точно сможет так как конструкция проверенная.
Ранее директором предприятия заявлялось - «Авиационный комплекс имени С.В. Ильюшина» в перспективе намерен развивать линейку сверхтяжелых транспортных самолетов.
Ну что тут сказать, взлетит, не взлетит. Не знаю, скорее второе. Чего от Ростеха ожидать на большом самолете – больших бабок, больших сроков, большого распила.
