Citat:German Navy (Deutsche Marine) is bidding farewell to its Sea Lynx Mk88A ship-borne helicopter fleet with a special livery aircraft.

Under the motto "End of an Era," the helicopter conducted a farewell tour to various military airfields across the country.
The Navy is retiring its Sea Lynx fleet later this year after more than four decades of operational service. Entering in service in 1981, the fleet has logged more than 120,000 flight hours during its worldwide deployments. The helicopters, operated by the Navy's 5 Naval Air Wing, is capable of conducting anti-submarine warfare (ASW), search and rescue (SAR), or reconnaissance missions.
The ageing helicopter fleet is being replaced by the new NH90 Sea Tiger Multi-Role Frigate Helicopter (MRFH). Designed for modern ASW and anti-surface warfare (ASuW) missions, NH90 Sea Tiger is equipped with advanced sonar, surveillance systems, torpedoes, and missiles.
