Citat:Reuters) - Boeing Co (BA.N) must decide in March 2014 whether to invest tens of millions of dollars to continue production of the F/A-18 fighter jet, a senior Boeing executive said on Monday, underscoring his confidence that sufficient orders would emerge to keep the plane in production until beyond 2020.
Production of fighter jets includes items like titanium that must be purchased well before production begins, which means Boeing may have to pay for those items itself until firm orders come in from the Navy or foreign buyers to ensure that the planes can be built on time.
Brazilci neće da se svađaju sa Amerima, da sami zatvore proizvodnju da kupe nešto drugo.

France loses out on Brazil jets deal

Pobednik je Gripen NG. 36 aviona. Naravno da ponovimo, Brazil je trazio transfer tehnologije a i avioni ce se sklapati u Brazilu. Ranije je pisano i o mogucoj daljoj nabavci.

Svaka čast Šveđanima izvezli/lizirali su 100 Gripena u 5 tuđe države, pored Rafala, Tajfuna i američke aždaje.

Iako je Viggen bio svojevremeno odličan lovački avion, Šveđani nisu uspeli da ga izvezu. Marketinška taktika SAAB-a je kod Gripena odradila sve kako treba.

Realan izbor, njima je avion u klasi F-5 i Mirage sasvim dovoljan bio i biti ce, isto kao i gotovo svima u juznoj Americi. Cinjenica da je Saab dogovorio da se delovi prave u Brazilu je isto novina, i moze ukazivati na to da ce u skorijoj buducnosti i Argentina uzeti taj isti avion, jer i oni hoce da uposle svoju fabriku aviona, a taj avion je i najjeftiniji zapadni za nabavku i upotrebu, i nedavno su i rekli da Brazil i Argentina zele da razvijaju vojske zajedno.
