Citat:30 U.S. Navy Sailors from the USS Wasp (LHD-1) and USS New York (LPD-21) as well as Marines with the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit were Injured on Wednesday, following an Incident off the Coast of Jacksonville, Florida which involved the Collision of 2 Landing Craft Air Cushions (LCAC); 5 of the 30 Servicemembers required Advanced Medical Care and were Airlifted to Savannah Memorial University Medical Center in Southern Georgia, with most having now been Released.
The Incident is now under Investigation while Recovery Operations continue for the Hovercrafts.
