French Defense Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian will visit Poland's Malbork air base April 29 to attend a ceremony marking the deployment of four Rafale combat jets there, and to meet with French airmen who will operate the aircraft over the next four months. From the beginning of the crisis in Ukraine, France has offered to send E-3F Sentry airborne early warning aircraft and fighters in support of NATO air capabilities. Since early April, French AWACS have been conducting surveillance missions for the alliance in eastern Europe, mainly over Poland and Romania.
As of April 28, the four Rafale C jets will be stationed at Poland's 22nd tactical air base in Malbork as part of a dual mission: Training the Polish air force in air policing; and to be available at NATO's request for policing Baltic airspace.
The four planes will serve as a complement to aircraft already committed by NATO to the Air Baltic mission.

All Rafale B from tranche 4 recently delivered by Dassault were posted to fighter/nuclear squadron "1/91 Gascogne":
- B340 / 113 FG
- B341 / 113 FH
- B342 / 113 FI
- B343 / 113 FJ
- B344 / 113 FK
- B345 and B346, still being tested, will follow the same way.

Only RAFALE B339 / 118-FY was posted to the experimentation squadron "5/330 Cote d'Argent"

For the record :
- Tranche 4 deliveries include Rafale B339 to B363, Rafale C145 to C169 and Rafale M39 to M48
- These Rafale B will form the backbone of the next fighter/nuclear squadron "2/4 La Fayette"
- Historically, the "La Fayette" squadron was created during WW1 in 1916 and was composed of American volunteer pilots flying fighters.

Ovo francusko "pojacavanje" Poljske nije nista drugo do promocija Rafala kao potencijalne zamene za MiG-29/Su-22. Namenski su dosli sa 4 dvoseda, da imaju mogucnost da provozaju sto vise poljskih pilota.
Doduse, verovatno ce malo i da "snifuju" Spectrom blizu granice sa Belorusijom i Kalinjingadom.
