Ima Boeing jake veze u Koreji a Korejanci nisu zadovoljni sto je Japan dobio servisiranje F-35 tako da Boeing ima lepe sanse da pobedi Lokid.

KFX Stalls After Only One Bidder Meets Development Deadline

Citat:The Korean Fighter Experimental (KFX) aircraft programme stalled on 9 February when an insufficient number of companies lodged bids to secure a contract to complete development of the aircraft.

A spokesman from the country's military procurement agency - the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) - told IHS Jane's that only one company had lodged a bid by the deadline.

KAI Picked As Preferred Bidder for S. Korean Fighter Jet Project

Citat:South Korea's sole aircraft manufacturer, Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) Ltd., was picked as the preferred bidder for the country's indigenous fighter jet development program Monday, the arms procurement agency said.

Codenamed KF-X, the 8.5 trillion won (US$7.69 billion) project calls for South Korea to develop fighter jets of the F-16 class to replace its aging fleet of F-4s and F-5s. Some 120 jets are to be put into service starting around 2025.

KAI, in partnership with Lockheed Martin of the United States. has vied with Seoul's top air carrier, Korean Air Lines Co., which teamed up with Airbus Defense and Space. The tender required participants to have a foreign technical assistance company.

"Citat:The U.S. government rejected transferring the technologies for security reasons," an official from the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) said Tuesday.
The four technologies are the multifunction, active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar, infrared search and track (IRST), electronic optics targeting pod (EOTGP) and RF jammer.

Lockeed Martin je bio izabran zbog transfera tehnologije. A sada ništa. Ameri su dobro naguzili Koreance.

Mislim da bi mogli sa transferom tehnologije Neurona napraviti i lovac sa pilotom. Znači da pitaju Francuze ili još pametnije da mole Ruse.

Eto prilike da Boeing razvije svoju alterantivu F-35. Od Evropljana nabave senzore (zato je tu Airbus) a ostalo imaju. Kasnije taj avion samo uvecaju (ko sto su uradili sa Hornet i Super Hornet) imaju i NGAD.
