Citat: The southeast Asian island nation of Singapore has finished carrying out an integrated strike exercise in Idaho, honing its military’s ability to maintain a persistent presence on the battlefield as well as its ability to gather intelligence and act on it in a timely manner.
The exercise, codenamed Forging Sabre 19, was held primarily at Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho and the nearby Mountain Home Range Complex between Sept. 30 and Oct. 10, the Singaporean defense ministry said.
Taking part in the exercise were 600 Singaporean military personnel and 28 aircraft, including ten Boeing F-15SG Eagles, nine Lockheed-Martin F-16 Fighting Falcon multi-role fighters and five Boeing AH-64D Apache attack helicopters from the U.S-based training detachments of the Republic of Singapore Air Force, or RSAF.

Nešto me malo muči, koji lovci imaju bolje manevarske sposobnosti u horizontalnom zaokretu oni iz 2 svj. rata ili F-15, zato šta sam negdje pročita da lovci iz ww2 imaju manje specifično opterećenje krila i da mogu bolje zaokrenit o svih modernih lovaca, premda čisto sumnjam u taj podatak ali zanima me šta o tome misle stručni forumaši.

Japan gets US nod for $4.5 billion F-15 upgrade package

Citat:The approval will allow Japan to upgrade up to 98 of its F-15J interceptors to a “Japanese Super Interceptor (JSI) configuration,” which will see the addition of an advanced electronically scanned array (AESA) radar, new mission computers and electronic warfare equipment, as well as the integration of new munitions.
The new radar will be the Raytheon AN/APG-82(v)1 multimode AESA set that is currently being fitted on the U.S. Air Force’s F-15E Strike Eagles. Japan had requested 103 radars, including six spare sets, along with 116 Honeywell Advanced Display Core Processor II mission computers and 101 BAE Systems AN/ALQ-239 digital electronic warfare systems among the suite of upgrades. The package also will include anti-spoofing GPS gear for more precise navigation, and new radios.

Nisam znao da su pokušali da ga uvale i Francuzima
