Francuzi guraju,ali......

Rafale deal unlikely before September
Citat:There is some dispiriting news for French Defence Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian as he arrives in New Delhi to push the 126 fighter aircraft deal, said to be India’s biggest-ever military tender.

Given the state of play in the Defence Ministry, the deal is unlikely to be finalised before the end of September. By then the election season would have set in and no bureaucrat would want to sign the deal. In such an eventuality, the deal is likely to be decided by the next government, said highly placed sources.

With the MiG-29 on steroids, who needs the Rafale

Citat:With the air defence MiG-29s being upgraded to an advanced multirole aircraft, the Indian Air Force could save more than $10 billion by scratching the Rafale.

Rafale to Enter Indian Service in 2017: AF Chief

Citat: Browne said the 'Rafale' are expected to be inducted into the force by 2017, three years approximately after the contract is signed

The Indian Air Force is negotiating with French aviation major Dassault Aviation's Rafale for 126 medium fighter jets in a multi-billion dollar deal, Chief of Air Staff of IAF, Air Chief Marshall N A K Browne today said.

The deal suffered a "setback" due to the death of an official, who handled the negotiation, in September. Now a new Joint Secretary has joined last week to take the negotiations forward, Browne told reporters here.

India may sign interim deal for 18 Rafales

Citat:With the possibility of a new government forming after the upcoming elections, the current cabinet may soon sign a contract to buy 18 Rafales from Dassault.
An anonymous source told AIN that the move is to prevent future governments from questioning the selection of the Rafale.

India, Dassault Rafale Deal Appears Stalled

Citat:Negotiations over the multibillion dollar deal to sell 126 Dassault Rafale jets to India have stalled, according to Indian Defence Ministry sources, who say the sticking point involves issues governing license-production of the jets at state-owned Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. (HAL).
A series of meetings held over the past three months have failed to resolve the stalemate, the sources said, meaning it is unlikely the deal will be finalized during the current New Delhi administration.
At the beginning of the year, Rafale-maker Dassault met with the MoD, Indian Air Force and HAL to break the impasse, sources said. A planned visit by HAL Chairman R.K. Tyagi for Jan. 27-31 has been postponed, putting a question mark over the entire program.

A ovi uopste nisu blesavi sto neodustaju

Citat:Eurofighter has confirmed that it will be present at one of India’s most important Defence Exhibitions in 2014. Eurofighter Typhoon’s stand at Defexpo India 2014 will be adjacent to the stand of the Airbus Group which is one of the four Eurofighter Partner Companies.

The Eurofighter Typhoon stand will also include a display by Eurojet, the makers of the EJ200 engines which power the Eurofighter Typhoon.

Indian Defense Minister Confirms Delay In Rafale Contract

Citat:India will not sign a $20 billion deal to acquire fighter jets for the Indian Air Force till the next fiscal year, defence minister A.K. Antony said on Thursday, indicating it would be left to the next government to finalize the purchase.

“It has to wait for the next financial year starting 1 April,” Antony said.
India does not have the budget to buy the jets, Antony said. “Ninety-two per cent of our budget has already been used, with only 8% left,” he said.

Evo sad i ovakva informacija...

MMRCA deal will materialise soon: Antony

Citat:Defence Minister A.K. Antony Thursday said negotiations to calculate "life-cycle cost" in the purchase of the medium multi-role combat aircraft (MMRCA) were not settled yet but he was hopeful that the contract will materialse in the coming fiscal.

Talking to media persons at Defexpo '14 here, Antony denied there was any delay in concluding the MMRCA deal.

Antony said there were some complaints about the procedure to calculate life-cycle cost. "That's still not settled... (But) that is not affecting the process," he said.
