Pentagon officially announced plans to retire A-10, U-2
Citat:U.S. Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel gave an outline of the major cuts expected in the next defense budget at the Pentagon on Feb. 25.
Hagel announced the entire A-10 and U-2 fleets will be retired. A decision will have to be made in the 2016 budget submission on keeping USS George Washington. Money has to be found to overhaul the aircraft carrier.
