Holandski specijal


Citat:Today, 7 June but forty years ago (1979), Wim Sneek flew the very first F-16B (J-259, msn 6E-1) from Fokker at Schiphol to Leeuwarden Air Base (Netherlands).
To mark the occasion they repainted F-16 J-642 (msn 6D-74) with these special tail colours, in honour of forty years of F-16 operations within the Royal Netherlands Air Force. Of course retired Commodore Wim Sneek himself was there to witness the unveiling!

For this occasion, the F-16AM Fighting Falcon (serial E-191) was completely adorned with the Danish flag and 800 years markings.

"Bob" skupio 10 000 sati leta

Citat:One of Misawa Air Base’s most famous flightline assets hit a historic milestone June 10. A 29-year-old Block-50 F-16 Fighting Falcon, tail number 808 and affectionately known as “BOB,” reached 10,000 flight hours during a sortie flown across Japan.

BOB is the first Block-50 F-16 in the entire Air Force inventory to hit 10,000 hours after Col. Kristopher W. Struve, the 35th Fighter Wing commander, piloted the aircraft through the history-making flight.

“10,000 flight hours is a testament to American engineering, but more importantly, the blood, sweat and tears of the thousands of maintainers who have turned a wrench on this aircraft since 1990,” Struve said following the flight. “This jet has been in service for 29 years and an 18-year-old maintainer launched me today. I am proud of our maintenance team and how they continue to make the mission happen. They work around the clock to ensure our base is ready and able to ensure a free and open Indo-Pacific at any time, whenever called upon.”

Sve je to lepo i sa tehničke i sa vojne strane....ali nikako ne mogu da se otmem utisku da većina tih jadnika pilota i ne zna šta u stvari znače ti "đavoli rogovi" koje neprekidno pokazuju pre i posle leta/akcije
