Citat:Türkiye’s Ministry of National Defense has revealed new details about the indigenous GÜÇHAN Turbofan Jet Engine program.
According to the ministry, work on liquid-fueled rocket engines and aircraft engines began many years ago, with major advancements achieved through single-crystal technology, significantly improving durability, efficiency, performance, and engine lifespan under extreme operating conditions.
The GÜÇHAN turbofan engine, fully developed by the Ministry of National Defense Research & Development Center using entirely domestic capabilities, produces 42,000 lbf of thrust.
A total of six engines have reportedly been produced so far, with qualification tests planned to take place later this year.
