For today in the Russian Air Force AWACS aircraft are 26 A-50M based on the Il-76MD. Manufacture of aircraft engaged in Taganrog Aviation Scientific-Technical Complex (Beriev) named Beriev. A-50 is able to fly at speeds of up to 800 kilometers per hour at a distance of 7.5 thousand kilometers. The aircraft is capable of detecting various types of air and ground targets, with complex provides support up to 300 targets.

Concern "Vega", presented at the recent air show sample of the new UAV "Ray", is currently working with the Beriev aircraft A is upgrading to version-50M A-50U. The latter is a deep modernization of the AWACS aircraft with advanced radar systems "Bee-M" and "Bumblebee-2." Compared to the base A-50 AWACS aircraft provide new targets for capturing a greater distance.

At this point, the modified complex A-50U provides detection range bombers to 650 kilometers, the fighters - at a range of 300 kilometers, and ground targets, such as a column of tanks - at a distance of 250 kilometers. Is anticipated that the A-100 will double these figures.

Zanimljiva boja na vertikalcu kao i samog radara. Ovo bi moglo ovako da ostane ili je cisto samo experimentalno ?
