Delivery of Taiwan's upgraded F-16s scheduled for 2018
Citat: Four upgraded F-16 fighter jets are scheduled to be delivered to the Air Force in 2018 by a state-owned aviation firm, Ministry of National Defense (MND) sources said Wednesday.
Citat:The fighters are part of a NT$110 billion (US$3.68 billion) program by the government to launch a domestic upgrade of Taiwan's 144 F-16 A/B jets into F-16Vs, the largest and most important upgrade ever undertaken by the Air Force.

Lockheed keeps F-16 production line going with Bahrain deal
Citat:Bahrain is set to become the first country in the region to operate Lockheed’s F-16 Block 70 aircraft, in a move that will boost the Falcon’s production line.
Last November, Vice President Mike Pence announced the signature of a deal for the sale of 16 F-16s worth over $2.3 billion to the Gulf country, considering it a “big boost for American jobs and security.”
“We are pleased the Kingdom of Bahrain and the U.S. government have agreed to move forward with the sale of F-16 Block 70 aircraft for the Royal Bahraini Air Force,” said Rick Groesch, regional vice president of international business development at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics.
The F-16 Block 70 is the newest generation of Fighting Falcon. The core of its configuration (over the Block-50/52) is the AN/APG-83 active electronically-scanned array radar. The latest fourth-gen aircraft combines capability upgrades such as avionics architecture and structural upgrades to extend the life of the aircraft by more than 50 percent beyond that of previous production F-16s.

USAF planira da 3 skvadrona sa F-16 osposobi specijalno za borbu sa krstarećim raketama. Razlog je - velika osteljivost aviona F-35 na dejstvo krstarećim raketama po aerodromima na kojima baziraju. Jedan dobar pogodak sa krstarećom raketom može da onesposobi na nekoliko dana ceo skvadron pa čak i ving. Dok se kod aerdoroma na kojima baziraju F-15 ili F-16 moraju da gađaju kaponiri sa tim avionima ili poletno sletna staza kod F-35 se gađaju jedna od tri radionice neophodne za održavanje celog skvadrona tj vinga ako ceo ving bazira na jednom aerodromu. Ako se uništi bilo koja od te tri zgrade ceo skvadron ostaje prizemljen bar nekoliko dana. Zato će svaka od tri glavne baze u Evropi sa F-35 dobiti za zaštitu po jedan "specijalizovan" skvadron sa F-16.

Inače, kako sad stvari stoje F-16 će nadživeti u operativnoj upotrebi u USAF i F-22 i F-15C a nadživeće ga samo F-15E. I naravno F-35.
Glavni vic je da će F-22 prvi u penziju.

Добрим делом изнуђено! Прво сумњивим квалитетом пројекта Ф22.Великом ценом по часу лета Ф15Ц,Палубном улогом Ф18.Но требало би мало сачекати по питању Ф35.Није искључено по мени да Ф16 добије много значајнију улогу.
