OK. It's obvious that they are testing WS-10 in more than one type of aircraft. The question is when will they be enough reliable to last for lets say 2000 hours.

An engine has nothing called "supercruise ability". Supercruise just means that an aircraft can brake the sound barrier without turning on the afterburner, which requires that the dry thrust of the engine is high enough to propel the loaded and armed plane to such speeds.

we will see that based on paf 's procurement however putting ws10b/g on a single engined fighter means they have a lot of faith in it and most of the reliability issues are now history

i dont know if the j10b supercruise ability is weight and atmoshphere dependent like we see in grippen

Engine has to be optimised for long-duration supercruise.

My concern is not that it will blow in mid air. What I'm interested in is time till firs overhaul and life span. So does WS-10 last for 500, 1000 or 1500 hours. For AL-31 life time is 1500 hours.

Perhaps the first two squadrons for PAF will be powered with Al-31. I'm just interested will Russian sell Al-31FN or some improved version.

They are using AL-31 which have 900hours of service life. I think they would be very pleased if they match that service life.

That is if we dont count their AL-31 service life upgrade which extend engine service to 1600hours.

Pratili ste valjda razvoj događaja prethodnih godina.
